Hello. We’re sorry you’re here.

We should probably clarify that statement somewhat in case you think we’re going all metaphysical on you. What we mean is that we’re sorry you’re here on this webpage. Why? Because this page represents an apology. A confession if you will. Not a major, we’re-risking-jail confession but a confession nonetheless.

Some of you might not have noticed anything wrong with the liner notes in our CD ‘The Road to Hammer Junkie’. That’s good. It shows you don’t concern yourself with the small stuff. We like that very, very much… for reasons that will become abundantly clear in just a few moments.

Take a close look at the track listing on the back cover of your CD, and then at the more detailed track listing on the inside, and you’ll notice that things aren’t quite right. There’s something weird. Tune names don’t seem to match up correctly. Confusion reigns supreme.

Despite an extensive album artwork review process, during which some of the band used fancy words, an alternative track order sneaked into the design. And it stayed there. What this means is that the track titles on the back cover are correct, but a few of the individual tune names on the inside are in the wrong order.

We’d like to say it was a deliberate mistake—in fact we’ve told quite a few people that very thing—but it’s just not the case. We stuffed up. So, in an attempt to make amends, you can now download a PDF of the 100% correct, checked-by-everyone, fully proofed and signed-off track listing that you should have had in the inside of ‘The Road to Hammer Junkie’. Please don’t be mad.

Of course there is a bright side to all this: what you hold in your hands could one day be a genuine collector’s item. Think about it. When we eventually do a new print run with amended artwork—which, let’s be honest, won’t be for a very, very long time—you’ll be able to refer to your copy of the CD as the “limited edition album with the special mistakes included”.

See? Every cloud.

All the best,

The Chairmen x
